Day 2- The Magician’s Horse (free pattern)

Each year we release an “advent” of free patterns during the month of December. This year is Meaghan’s turn! This December each day find a new embroidery pattern available as a digital download. This year’s patterns are inspired by traditional gingerbread cookies decorated with royal icing. The patterns are also named for fairytales!
This download is for Day 2, a dala horse named for the fairytale The Magician’s Horse
All samples were stitched using Subito Farm Estabrook yarn in Natural. 100 yards is enough yarn to stitch all 26 ornaments. These patterns will only be free for the month of December so make sure you download and save your copy somewhere safe!
The materials I used to make these sweet ornaments are:
1. Wool Felt, I used 100% wool felt in the color Brown Sugar from Commonwealth Felt
2. Subito Farm Estabrook sport weight yarn in Natural. Approximately 3 yards used per ornament.
3. Stuffing for each ornament, approximately 4.5 grams, I used wool roving
4. String or ribbon to hang the ornaments on – I used cotton bakers twine
5. Size 20 chenille needle
